Aon strengthens its natural resources offering across APAC by naming new leaders

Leaders will oversee the pillars of energy and mining as well as renewable energy in the region


SINGAPORE, 4 July 2022 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced it has strengthened its natural resources offering in Asia-Pacific by naming new leaders for senior strategic roles.

Melissa Shepherdson will become head of Energy and Mining, APAC and Richard Nunny will commence as head of Renewable Energy, APAC.

Shepherdson is currently head of Energy and Mining, Asia, and has been with Aon for more than 20 years. Shepherdson will continue to oversee this portfolio for Asia.

Nunny is joining Aon from BMS Group, where he was head of Power and Energy – Australia.

“As the renewable energy sector continues to gain momentum across the globe, the development of renewable energy solutions across the Asia Pacific region will play an important role in driving this energy transition to a cleaner future. Key to my role is assisting clients through the delivery of innovative and effective risk transfer solutions, helping clients rethink access to new forms of capital, as well as bringing them the best of Aon across our global renewable energy practice,” said Nunny.
