Aon wins 2017 Large Broking Company of the Year

Sydney, September 1, 2017 – Aon has been awarded “Large Broking Company of the Year” in the esteemed Australian Insurance Industry Awards for the second year running. The award is Aon’s fifth in the past six years.

The Australian New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) annual industry award celebrates the commitment large broking companies bring to the excellence, professionalism and client focus of the industry, and the impact they have on the community.

"We are delighted to have won the Large Broking Company of the Year Award again this year. Our continued success underscores the dedication our team brings to delivering compelling client experiences, and our enduring drive to be recognised as the preeminent professional services firm focused on risk and people,” said Lambros Lambrou, Chief Executive Officer, Aon Risk Solutions.

In 2016 Aon’s client retention increased year on year. The business’ maturing focus on centres of excellence also contributed to some major new client wins and revenue growth over the three year period, reflecting improved execution of retention, pricing and new business strategies.

“We continue to increase our colleague engagement through a commitment to empowered leadership, and accelerating and driving the deployment of our best talent to develop the next generation of leaders,” Mr Lambrou said.

The award congratulated Aon for its unwavering customer focus and its ability to deliver customer insight through the use of market analytics in its acquisition and retention strategy. The panel commended Aon’s ongoing contribution to the industry and community with industry-specific research and thought leadership.
