Terms and Conditions


About the Promotion

By entering the 2013 Aon Manchester United Promotional Draw (Draw), all participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Promoter

The promoter of this Draw is Aon Risk Services Australia Limited (ABN 17 000 434 720, AFSL 241141) (Aon).

Prize Details

By entering the Draw, each Eligible Entrant (as defined below) has the chance to win one (1) of twenty-five (25) major prizes being; two (2) Category A or B tickets to see Manchester United play the Australian A-League All Stars on 20 July 2013 at 7.30pm (Prize).

Any additional costs including travel and accommodation are not included in the Prize and are to be borne by the winners of the tickets. The maximum value of each Prize is up to $390(AUD). The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD$9,750. The Prize is strictly as stated above and is not exchangeable, negotiable, transferable or redeemable for cash. Tickets are subject to stated terms of use.

Eligibility & Entry

Entry is open to any new Aon Affinity customer1 who:

  • purchases an insurance policy between 11th February 2013 and 31st May 2013 which is not cancelled within one month of the date of policy inception*
  • are aged 18 years or over and a resident of Australia; and
  • is not an Ineligible Entrant (as defined below).

*With exception of Victoria where competition commences 15th February 2013.

Ineligible Entrant means the following categories persons who are ineligible to enter into the Draw:

  • directors, management and employees of Aon, their immediate families, or their suppliers, associated companies, retailers or agencies; and
  • Government Officials (as defined below), an employee of a government entity, or an employee of a state owned or controlled entity.

Government Official means:

  • Anyone who is employed by an entity that is owned (either entirely or in part), controlled, or directed by a government or sub-part thereof;
  • An officer or employee of a government or any department, agency, or instrumentality thereof, including state-owned or state controlled commercial entities;
  • An officer or employee of a public international organization, such as the United Nations, World Bank or International Monetary Fund;
  • Any person acting in an official capacity for or on behalf of any government or department, agency, or instrumentality or public international organization;
  • Any political party official;
  • Any candidate for political office;
  • Any other person, individual or entity at the suggestion, request or direction or for the benefit of any of the above-described persons and entities.

Aon will generate report listings on 15 March 2013, 15 April 2013, 15 May 2013 and 15 June 2013 and all Eligible Entrants who satisfy the above criteria will automatically be put in the running to receive a Prize (Eligible Entry).

Draw Term

The Draw is open from 9am on 11th February 2013 and will close at 5pm on 31st May 2013 (Draw Term).*

Entry Details

Entry to the Promotion is valid upon receipt by Aon of an Eligible Entry. Eligible Entrants will be responsible for providing Aon with its current contact details (including a valid email address) which are maintained on Aon’s central processing system and to contact Aon if the Eligible Entrant needs confirmation or would like to update any such listing. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, Aon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. Aon however accepts no responsibility for non-admission into the Draw because of late, lost or misdirected notification of contact details by the Eligible Entrant. Aon reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry into the Draw that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Entry to the Draw is free and each Eligible Entrant may only enter the Promotion once.

Draw and Announcement

The prize draw will be conducted and announced by an Aon Senior Executive at 3pm on 3rd June 2013 at Aon’s offices located at Level 33, 201 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (Aon’s Registered Office) by a random draw from all Eligible Entries registered during the Draw Term (Prize Draw). Twenty Five (25) names will be drawn in succession to determine the winners of each Prize.

Aon reserves the right to draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, Aon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. The results of the Prize Draw are final and no correspondence will be entered into. If the Prize is unavailable, Aon in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

Aon will contact the prize winners by phone and in writing (by email and/or letter) within 2 business days of the Prize Draw. Prizes will be either posted to the address nominated by the prize winners or, if elected by the prize winner at the time of notification, may be claimed in person from Aon’s Registered Office. Photographic identification of the winner will be required (i.e. drivers licence/passport) to claim a Prize. No responsibility will be accepted by Aon for any lost or misdirected mail.

If the prize winner does not claim their prize by 5pm on 1 July 2013, another winner will be drawn by an Aon Senior Executive at Aon’s Registered Office at 3pm on 2 July 2013. The new winner/s will be notified by phone and in writing (by email and/or letter) within 2 business days.

Each Prize winner will be required to sign a certification to confirm that he or she is not a Government Official, an employee of a government entity, or an employee of a state owned or controlled entity prior to release of any Prize.

Publication

Winners will also be announced:

  • on Aon’s website www.aon.com.au by 5pm on 19 June 2013 and retained on the website for a period of 28 days; and
  • in the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper on or around 19 June 2013.

Re-draw winners will also be announced:

  • on Aon’s website www.aon.com.au by 5pm on 8 July 2013 and retained on the website for a period of 28 days; and
  • in the Adelaide Advertiser newspaper on or around 8 July 2013.

Exclusions and Limitations

If, for any reason, this Draw is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cases beyond the control of Aon which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Draw, Aon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

Aon assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications lines failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries.

To the full extent permitted by the law, Aon excludes liability for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered or sustained (including but not limited to direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, loss revenue or profit) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this Draw.

Aon accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from winning the Prize. Entrants may seek independent tax and financial advice if they wish.

Use of Entry Details

All entries become the property of Aon. Aon  may collect, use, disclose and retain personal information from each entry for the purpose of promoting Aon’s products and services in accordance with Aon’s Privacy Policy. Aon’s Privacy Policy is displayed at www.aon.com.au or a copy may be sent to you upon request.
